Prestonwood Christian entered their tilt with The Woodlands on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Highlanders by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 two weeks ago.

Ava Gibbs and Megan Johnson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Gibbs had 17 digs and five assists, while Johnson had 11 assists and eight digs. Gibbs is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Prestonwood Christian's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for The Woodlands, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prestonwood Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on September 9. As for The Woodlands, they will take on Caney Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
