Softball Recap: McKinley Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for McKinley's offense. They came up short against the GlenOak Golden Eagles on Friday, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

McKinley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for GlenOak, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McKinley will host Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for GlenOak, they will be playing at home against Wadsworth at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Grizzlies have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
