Basketball Recap: Wildwood Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wildwood walked away with it. They strolled past the Clayton Clippers with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-38. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 75-55 win back in February.

The win (which was Wildwood's third in a row) raised their record to 14-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points over those games. As for Clayton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 19-8 record.

Looking ahead, Wildwood will challenge Haddon Township on Friday. Haddon Township will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Wildwood surely won't give up without a fight. Clayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
