Basketball Game Preview: Sand Creek Scorpions vs. Palmer Terrors

The Sand Creek Scorpions will take on the Palmer Terrors in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sand Creek is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Sand Creek saw some tournament action on Saturday. They lost 56-34 to Summit.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Makailah White, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 11 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahji Vinson, who posted six points in addition to five boards and five steals.

Meanwhile, Palmer ended up a good deal behind Liberty on Saturday and lost 51-35. The Terrors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sand Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Palmer, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Sand Creek against Palmer in their previous matchup back in December of 2015, as the team secured a 70-38 win. Does Sand Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will Palmer turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
