Jackson is 0-9 against Lake Stevens since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Timberwolves will look to defend their home field against the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Jackson is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Kamiak on Friday. The Timberwolves walked away with a 21-14 win over the Knights. The game was the first time the Timberwolves have beaten the Knights on their field since October 7, 2016.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Tre Austin and Jayden Harris. Austin had a great game and rushed for 201 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries. Meanwhile, Harris was balling out in the loss, rushing for 191 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, Lake Stevens strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Glacier Peak 49-14. Considering the Vikings have won three matchups by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jackson better keep an eye on Blake Moser. He was instrumental in Lake Stevens' win, throwing for 260 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 81.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 46 yards and two scores. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Moser a new career-high. Jayvian Ferrell was another key player, rushing for 132 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Lake Stevens, racking up 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Max Cook, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Lake Stevens, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Jackson has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 189.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Lake Stevens struggles in that department as they've been averaging 192.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Jackson was taken down by Lake Stevens 56-6 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Timberwolves, Jayshon Limar (who rushed for 145 yards and four TDs on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
