Silver Creek came tearing into Thursday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Scottsburg Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Silver Creek let Karson Cook and Hudson Garten run wild. Cook went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Garten went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Cook a new career-high. Jerron Miles was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Silver Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Silver Creek pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Scottsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
