Basketball Recap: Ron Brown Gets the Win

After only 16 points in their last game, Ron Brown made sure to put some points up on the board against Woodson on Wednesday. The Ron Brown Monarchs escaped with a win against the Woodson Warriors by the margin of a single free throw, 58-57. The victory was some much needed relief for the Monarchs as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Ron Brown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tariq Brown led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds. Those 16 boards gave Brown a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Arrington Smith, who posted 20 points and six rebounds.

Ron Brown's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-13. As for Woodson, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

As of now, neither Ron Brown nor Woodson have any future games scheduled.
