The Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against Wakefield School by a score of 56-44. This was a revenge matchup for Randolph-Macon Academy, as the team was forced to settle for a 53-51 loss when these two played last Thursday.
Randolph-Macon Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chidera George led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. George is crushing the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bilal Kebbay, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.
Randolph-Macon Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Wakefield School, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Randolph-Macon Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Trinity Christian at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. Trinity Christian is coming into the matchup with three straight wins on the road, so Randolph-Macon Academy is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Wakefield School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Yorktown at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
