Basketball Recap: Centerpoint Christian Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against More Academy

CenterPoint Christian Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the More Academy Crusaders by a score of 85-83. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (65), the Lions still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why CenterPoint Christian Academy lost, don't look at Jeremy Boillat. Despite the final result, he shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 45 points and 15 boards. The match was Boillat's third in a row with at least ten points. Nolan Dieterle was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 26 rebounds.

Even though they lost, CenterPoint Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

As for More Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Michigan School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in More Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
