Winfield dropped down to 32-12-2 on Saturday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Herbert Hoover Huskies by a score of 2-1. The Generals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Winfield's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Macee Shock, who had 16 assists and three digs. Shock has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more assists the last three times she's played.

As for Herbert Hoover, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 50-8-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted against Winfield since September 27, 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Herbert Hoover to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braelyn Adkins, who had 16 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Adkins has posted over her last ten matchups. Another player making a difference was Lilli Lancaster, who had 15 assists and six digs.

As of now, neither Winfield nor Herbert Hoover have any future games scheduled.
