Baseball Recap: Willow's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Willow came into Tuesday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Metairie Park Country Day Cajuns on Tuesday. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered an 8-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Carter Ptak was incredible, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).

Willow now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Metairie Park Country Day, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Willow will face off against Bonnabel at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Metairie Park Country Day, they will venture away from home to challenge John Ehret at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
