Baseball Recap: Roosevelt's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Roosevelt's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Brush Arcs. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rough Riders as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Rocco Baggetta, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Jack Flynn also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Brush, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Roosevelt will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodridge at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brush, they will venture away from home to square off against Chardon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Hilltoppers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
