Volleyball Recap: Scotland Takes a Loss

Scotland came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Viborg/Hurley Cougars, falling 3-0. The Highlanders have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

While Scotland ultimately came up short, they really made Viborg/Hurley work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-14, 25-22.

Scotland's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Viborg/Hurley, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Scotland will face off against Wagner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Viborg/Hurley, they will take on Baltic at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
