Volleyball Game Preview: Chaparral Wolverines vs. ThunderRidge Grizzlies

The Chaparral Wolverines will face off against the ThunderRidge Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Chaparral was able to grind out a solid win over Douglas County, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Chaparral walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19, 21-25, 25-14.

Meanwhile, ThunderRidge waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Titans.

ThunderRidge had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-16, 25-13, 25-10.

ThunderRidge's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Chaparral, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11.

Chaparral was able to grind out a solid victory over ThunderRidge when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
