Soccer Recap: Union City Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Union City Golden Tornadoes didn't have quite enough to beat the Peabody Golden Tide and fell 3-2. The Golden Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Silverio Acevedo wasn't going to let Peabody walk away unscathed as he scored both of Union City's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Union City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Union City didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-1 loss against Obion County on the 11th. As for Peabody, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-2 draw against Dyer County on the 10th.
