Baseball Recap: Canyon Springs Takes a Loss

Canyon Springs lost against Rancho Verde on April 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell 6-2 to the Mustangs. The Cougars' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Canyon Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyrone Lee, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Joseph Ursulo also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Canyon Springs' record is now 10-14. As for Rancho Verde, they moved to 15-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canyon Springs will venture away from home to challenge Perris at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Rancho Verde, they will head out on the road to take on Rancho Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
