Soccer Recap: South Williamsport Takes a Loss

South Williamsport was the 1-0 winner over Muncy when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mountaineers fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. South Williamsport have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Williamsport's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Muncy, their record now sits at 4-0.

Looking ahead, South Williamsport will square off against Sullivan County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. South Williamsport's defense better be ready for this one: Sullivan County have averaged an impressive 4.2 goals per game this season. As for Muncy, they will take on Williamson in a tournament on Saturday. Muncy will be up against Williamson's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.5 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
