Recap: Air Force Academy Falcons vs. Corliss Trojans
This season hasn't been kind to the Air Force Academy Falcons, who are still winless after their eighth game. They lost to Corliss on the road by a decisive 28-14 margin on Monday. Air Force Academy lost against Corliss in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 33-27 score last time.
Despite the defeat, Air Force Academy had strong showings from Jree Sims, who scored seven points, and Melvina Jordan, who scored five points. Jordan scored a full 35.7% of Air Force Academy's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Air Force Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7-1. As for Corliss, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Air Force Academy will head out on the road to face off against Longwood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Longwood's defense has only allowed 21.7 points per game this season, so Air Force Academy's offense will have their work cut out for Air Force Academy. Corliss will be home for the holidays to greet Bowen at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bowen's defense has only allowed 22.9 points per game this season, so Corliss' offense will have their work cut out for Corliss.
