Basketball Recap: Skyview Comes Up Short

Skyview was the 55-45 winner over Middleton when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Skyview Hawks came up short against the Middleton Vikings on Friday, falling 59-39. The contest marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

With the defeat, Skyview broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.7 points over those games. As for Middleton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Skyview will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Columbia at 2:00 p.m. Skyview has given up an average of 51.6 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. Middleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
