Basketball Game Preview: Wheeler Bearcats vs. River Forest Ingots

Wheeler is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the River Forest Ingots at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Wheeler lost to Lowell at home by a 59-45 margin. The Bearcats have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Wheeler's defeat came about despite a quality game from Nick Scott, who went 6-for-7 on his way to 20 points. Scott has also also been stellar as far as three-point shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 43% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Conner Welch, who posted six points.

River Forest hadn't beaten Highland on the road since November 28, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Ingots secured a 51-46 W over the Trojans.

The victory got River Forest back to even at 1-1. As for Wheeler, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
