Chapel Hill came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Riverside-Durham, but Darryn Johnson wouldn't allow it. The Riverside-Durham Pirates secured a 39-33 W over the Chapel Hill Tigers on Tuesday thanks in part to Johnson, who went 6-for-10 en route to 13 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Riverside-Durham is 4-2 when Johnson posts three or more steals, but 3-12 otherwise.

Talib Harrell was another key player, putting up four points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Chapel Hill lost, don't look at Niko Davis. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-11 to rack up 16 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Davis a new career-high in points.

The victory made it two in a row for Riverside-Durham and bumps their season record up to 7-14. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 39.3% in those games and 27.2% outside of them. As for Chapel Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-7.

Coincidentally, Riverside-Durham and Chapel Hill will both be playing Jordan the next time they take the court. Chapel Hill will head out to face Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Riverside-Durham will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
