            Softball Recap: Valders Vikings vs. Kewaunee Storm        
        
		
        
        
            Valders strolled into their game  on Friday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by  an  11-2 margin over the Kewaunee Storm. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

 Megan Hochkammer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 15 batters over  6.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Anna Olson was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  triples, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. Those  two  triples gave  her a new career-high.  Arianna Hernandez was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  runs and one  triple.
 Valders  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Valders' victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valders will welcome Chilton  at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Kewaunee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Two Rivers  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Purple Raiders will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something the Storm surely won't give up without a fight.
