Soccer Game Preview: Kent Denver vs. The Academy

Kent Denver is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will host The Academy at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Kent Denver proved they can win big on March 11th (they won by six) and on March 13th they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Mullen. Kent Denver wouldn't have won without Lyla Hinchey, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, The Academy put another one in the bag last Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand DSST: Conservatory Green a 1-0 shutout. The Academy's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Kent Denver's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for The Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Kent Denver took their win against The Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. Does Kent Denver have another victory up their sleeve, or will The Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
