Softball Recap: Cooperstown Hawkeyes vs. Oriskany Skyhawks

Cooperstown gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Oriskany Skyhawks. The Hawkeyes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Skyhawks, too.

Emerson Lippitt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Cooperstown got a big performance out of Katie Crippen, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Evie Baldo, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
