Softball Recap: Crowley Has No Trouble Against Millsap

Crowley saw some tournament action on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 13-4 margin over the Millsap Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Crowley let Kenzli Brooks and Anayah Walker-Small loose on the outfield. Brooks scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Walker-Small went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Brooks is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stolen at least two every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackie Sandoval, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Crowley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Crowley's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Millsap, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Crowley and Millsap will both be playing Nocona the next time they take the field. Millsap will head out to face Nocona at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, while Crowley will play them later in the day, at 8:30 a.m.
