Volleyball Recap: West Nodaway Victorious

West Nodaway lost to Tournament Opponent back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Rockets walked away with a 2-0 victory over Tournament Opponent. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-23.

Ellie Wilmes paced West Nodaway's offense, picking up six kills. Wilmes got some help from Annalee Livengood and her 11 assists. Emalee Wynn controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

West Nodaway's win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, West Nodaway will head out to challenge East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tournament Opponent, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Peachtree Baptist Academy.
