Soccer Game Preview: Hillsboro vs. Wesclin

The Hillsboro Hiltoppers will face off against the Wesclin Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillsboro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.4 goals per game this season.

Wesclin is facing Hillsboro at the wrong time: Hillsboro suffered their first home loss of the season on Monday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Purple Panthers by a score of 2-1.

Hillsboro's goal came courtesy of Mark Mattson, who's now up to 22 this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wesclin). They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over Valmeyer on Monday. Winning may never get old, but Wesclin sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Wesclin's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Hillsboro, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 12-3-1.
