Stuart W. Cramer is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Crest on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Stuart W. Cramer was beaten by Crest 72-45. The Storm were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-14.
Stuart W. Cramer's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Gavin Jordan, who posted ten points and three blocks, and Dj Cross, who put up nine points and seven rebounds. That's the most rebounds Cross has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahj Whitley, who earned four points.
Meanwhile, Huss beat South Point 63-55 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.
Huss found their leader in sophomore Zaiyir 'Zii' Phillips, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 26 points and five rebounds. Phillips has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaleel Smith, who posted 18 points and three steals.
Huss' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Stuart W. Cramer, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Stuart W. Cramer and Huss are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Stuart W. Cramer hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55.4 points per game. However, it's not like Huss struggles in that department as they've been averaging 65.8 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
