Softball Recap: Flippin Takes a Loss

Flippin couldn't beat Cave City on Monday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fifth inning. The Bobcats lost 22-8 to the Cavemen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-3 back in March.

Rylee Hickey was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Raelynn Wegener was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Flippin's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Cave City, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Flippin is set to square off against their familiar foe Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cave City will face off against rival Yellville-Summit at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
