It was a good run, but Stevens Point unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakeland Thunderbirds.

Stevens Point's defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3. As for Lakeland, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stevens Point and De Pere will face off at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Stevens Point knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully De Pere likes a good challenge. As for Lakeland, they will head out to take on West De Pere at 11:00 a.m. on January 4, 2025.
