Basketball Recap: Cleveland Hill Takes a Loss

Cleveland Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 65-40 to the Depew Wildcats. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Cleveland Hill still got an impressive performance from Javier Nelson, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 57.5% of Cleveland Hill's points, marking the third time in a row Nelson has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Beau Kasama, who scored four points and seven boards.
