Volleyball Recap: Carroll Patriots vs. Badin Rams

Carroll lost against Badin back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Carroll Patriots fell just short of the Badin Rams by a score of 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Rams: they've now lost eight in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Carroll sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 22-25, 25-18, 22-25, 15-10.

Even though they lost, Carroll was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.

Badin was led to victory by Carley Nadler and Caitlin Brown. Nadler had 17 digs, while Brown had ten digs.

Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Badin, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Carroll's road trip will continue as they head out to face Archbishop Alter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carroll is facing Archbishop Alter at the right time seeing as Archbishop Alter is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Badin, they will square off against Bishop Fenwick at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
