Volleyball Recap: St. Ursula Academy Falls Short of Gilmour Academy in the Playoffs

St. Ursula Academy and Gilmour Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but St. Ursula Academy had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Gilmour Academy Lancers. The Arrows haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Molly Malone paced St. Ursula Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Malone got some help from Ellie Panczyszyn and her 32 assists. Blake Schroyer controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

With the defeat, St. Ursula Academy broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-12. As for Gilmour Academy, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.

St. Ursula Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gilmour Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Ursuline Academy on the 8th.
