Football Game Preview: Scotts Valley Falcons vs. North Monterey County Condors

The Scotts Valley Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the North Monterey County Condors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Monterey County took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Scotts Valley, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, Scotts Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Watsonville, taking the game 19-10. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Wildcatz: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, North Monterey County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 40-27 to St. Francis.

Scotts Valley will have to keep a close watch on Jacob Silva and Jaycob Ducusin, a pair of players who had a big impact on North Monterey County's prior game. Silva picked up 160 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Ducusin threw for 212 yards and three TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes.

North Monterey County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Scotts Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Scotts Valley couldn't quite finish off North Monterey County in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 and fell 14-12. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
