On Thursday, Appling Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Faith Christian Academy, but they still walked away with a 63-59 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, First Academy played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 62-40 to Faith Christian Academy. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Appling Christian Academy will have to keep a close watch on Rylan Peacock and Logan James, a pair of players who had a big impact on First Academy's prior game. Peacock dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while James posted ten points and seven boards.

The victory got Appling Christian Academy back to even at 4-4. As for First Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Appling Christian Academy beat First Academy 54-45 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
