If Grovemont wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Thomas More Academy, they should've done a better job of containing John Paul Mack. The Chancellors walked away with a 66-56 victory over the Spartans on Monday with plenty of help from Mack, who went 13-for-25 on his way to 35 points along with eight boards and four steals. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

St. Thomas More Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Grovemont, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, St. Thomas More Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Carolina Friends at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chancellors will be up against the Quakers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Grovemont, they will be home for the holidays to greet Fayetteville O at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Outliers have now posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
