Preview: Beecher Bobcats vs. Reed-Custer Comets
The Beecher Bobcats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Reed-Custer Comets at 11:30 a.m. on January 20th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Beecher didn't have too much trouble with Tri-Point on the road as they won 48-33.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Reed-Custer beat Streator 48-42 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Reed-Custer.
Kaylee Tribble continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Beard, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
The victory got Beecher back to even at 10-10. As for Reed-Custer, the win also got them back to even at 11-11.
Beecher didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Reed-Custer in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 33-28 victory. Does Beecher have another victory up their sleeve, or will Reed-Custer turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
