Volleyball Recap: Aniyah Brown's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Notre Dame over the King's Academy

Notre Dame's tournament run continued when they took on The King's Academy on Saturday. The Fighting Irish fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1.

Notre Dame's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aniyah Brown, who had ten digs and eight kills. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie McCormick, who had 14 digs and one assist.

Notre Dame now has a losing record of 2-3. As for The King's Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Notre Dame wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Valdosta on the 23rd. As for The King's Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Tallulah Falls on the 23rd.
