Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Westwood's Third in Last Four Outings

If Synergy Magnet K12 wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Westwood, they should've done a better job of containing Jordan Crutchfield. The Westwood Panthers took down the Synergy Magnet K12 Saints 63-44 on Tuesday thanks in part to Crutchfield, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last 19 games he's played dating back to last season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Courtney Neal, who posted ten rebounds. He has become a key player for Westwood: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least ten boards, but 1-3 otherwise.

Westwood has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Synergy Magnet K12, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Westwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-45 win against Jensen Beach on the 19th. As for Synergy Magnet K12, they will head out to face off against Sebastian River at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
