Softball Recap: Puxico Indians vs. East Prairie Eagles
Puxico extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 7-12. They came up short against the East Prairie Eagles, falling 16-1. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.
Puxico saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kinsley Foster, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
As for East Prairie, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5-1. Considering they have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
On East Prairie's side, Ava Bright was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and one RBI. Those three doubles gave Bright a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addi Aters, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one double.
As of now, neither Puxico nor East Prairie have any future games scheduled.
