Softball Game Preview: Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors vs. New Paltz Huguenots

The Our Lady of Lourdes Warriors will face off against the New Paltz Huguenots at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Our Lady of Lourdes hasn't scored more than two runs for five games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Monday just wasn't the day for Our Lady of Lourdes' offense. They came up short against Saugerties on Monday, falling 12-0.

Meanwhile, New Paltz scored first but ultimately less than Rondout Valley in their game on Monday. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ganders.

Madison Braren led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Lila DiSciullo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

New Paltz's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. As for Our Lady of Lourdes, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
