Softball Recap: Concord Bears vs. Berean Christian Eagles

If Concord was feeling good fresh off their 17-5 takedown of Mt. Diablo on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears came up short against the Berean Christian Eagles on Thursday, falling 16-5. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Shay Caban made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Emmalee Usedom was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
