Softball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Kingwood Park

Kingwood Park barely beat Livingston the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Kingwood Park Panthers were the clear victor by a 12-6 margin over the Livingston Lions on Tuesday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Allie Minick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on ten hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Abbey Papadimitriou, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kendall Olson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Kingwood Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Livingston only managed eight hits.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Livingston, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-3-1 record.

Kingwood Park didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Port Neches-Groves on the 28th. As for Livingston, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-1 defeat against Tournament Opponent on the 27th.
