Del Norte and Arcata are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Del Norte will be strutting in after a win while Arcata will be coming in after a defeat.

Del Norte took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Eureka, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors skirted past the Loggers 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted against the Loggers since April 29, 2023.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Arcata's offense. They came up short against McKinleyville on Saturday, falling 10-0. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Del Norte has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Arcata, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Del Norte beat Arcata 13-10 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
