Basketball Recap: Columbus Christian's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Columbus Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Rock Creek Academy Lions, falling 55-32. The Crusaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 48-34.

Despite the loss, Columbus Christian still got an impressive performance from Emma Murray, who posted 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. Murray has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last seven times she's played.

Columbus Christian's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Rock Creek Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus Christian will venture away from home to challenge Varsity Opponent at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rock Creek Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Portland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
