Baseball Recap: Jefferson Hawks vs. Linn-Mar Lions
Jefferson is still looking for their season's first win. They lost 14-1 to the Linn-Mar Lions on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Jefferson of the 16-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2023.
For Linn-Mar's part, Dylan Muszynski was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryker Remington, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI and a run.
Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Linn-Mar, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will face off against Muscatine at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Linn-Mar, they will head out on the road to take on Pleasant Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
