Clements is 8-2 against Lindsay Lane Christian Academy since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Clements Colts will challenge the Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Lions at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Clements is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest win since March 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They never let Tanner get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Rattlers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Olivia Moody made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Moody was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Carly Nave was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emma Rikard, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Lindsay Lane Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Whitesburg Christian Academy. The three-run effort marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Madi Tucker spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 14 Ks.
Clements now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lindsay Lane Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Clements hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having got 0 of their hits per game. However, it's not like Lindsay Lane Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've got 0 of their hits this season. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
