Basketball Recap: Veterans Memorial Takes a Loss

Veterans Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 49-40 to the La Feria Lions. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2015.

Veterans Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for La Feria, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Hidalgo the next time they take the court. Veterans Memorial will head out to face Hidalgo at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, while La Feria will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on January 10th.
