Immaculata barely beat Hunterdon Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Red Devils on Tuesday. That looming 10-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Spartans yet this season.

Immaculata got a great performance from Ryan Auten as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Auten has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Colin Kassai was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Lewis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Immaculata's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Hunterdon Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Immaculata will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Red Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
