Northwestern blew Ashland out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Ashland got their revenge. The Tigers fell just short of the Oredockers by a score of 9-7. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Ashland, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-10.
